I’m sorry to say that it’s time to start looking towards Christmas………

Today’s topic – presents!

I know it is only August but there are less than 25 weeks to Christmas now and I have started my lists to get organised for Christmas! I thought I would let you know what I do and how I get on top of it all.

  1. The first thing I do is I write a list of everyone that I need to get a present for and I stick it in a google sheet.
  2. I then work my way through the box I gather through the year and allocate certain presents to certain people. These go into the second column in the spreadsheet
  3. Next I clump everyone who doesn’t have a present allocated together is groups – children, adults, family and friends.
  4. I run through the groups that are left and have a nosy through the internet to find something cheap enough for us to buy!
  5. I’ll then start buying a few bits at a time when my bank account allows and pop them in the box.
  6. A bit closer to the time, when the parties and gatherings are booked in, I then add in the date the present needs to be ready by and I order my list my that. I then know who needs a present more urgently than others and the order in which I need to wrap them!

I repeat all of these steps for cards – I make them myself and this year is going to be very different as I won a Cricut Joy in February. I will be making them on there so I need to be double extra organised!!! Watch out for my card post!!

I also repeat all of this between Christmas and New Year for all the birthdays in the year – it means I manage to keep on top of all of that a bit easier too.

I’ve been thinking of putting an app together to help with all of this as I think that might be slightly easier. Let me know what you think 🙂
