I’ve been waiting for a day that I can go out and about and start flexing my blogging muscles. I know that I’ve got a long way to go before I am good at it but I was very excited when ‘thrift shop day’ rolled round.
I decided to go into Halesowen, my nearest town, with the 20 minutes I’d got to myself and have a look through the charity shops. I wanted to spend no more than £5 and grab myself some bargains. Halesowen has at least 5 charity shops so I was fairly confident!!
I went into Save The Children first but couldn’t find anything. Scope was next door with a closing down sale and everything was £1!!! Here I found 3 tops which I fell in love with. Whoop! This left me with £2.
Next was British Heart Foundation and I saw quite a few things but they were all out of my price range so I moved onto Blue Cross. Here I found a few bits and pieces and paid £5 for 2 things to auction off for charity in my selling groups on Facebook. But I couldn’t find anything I fancied for my £2. I didn’t have time to walk to any other shops as I’d got to collect Jonah and Grace so I decided to support a local coffee shop and got a vanilla latte for £2.20.
I think my first outing as a blogger went very well and I’m thrilled to have 3 tops to add to my wardrobe, 2 things to be auctioned and a boot of money given to charity. Job done ✔️
